Diy jigging
assist hook with hollow braid, any hollow
braid of your choice can be used. Below
are the tools you will need to make you
assist hooks. In this diy I used a diy
threader tool. You can used
a hopper leg threader
tool. It your
choice. Each have their advantage. |

Tools you will need:
A) Diy threader tool (to
learn how to diy this tool)
B) Here we used Mustad
Hoodlum a good choice for assist
hooks.
C) Braid
scissors
D) Hollow
Braid. |

Step 2 |
To make the loop.
Cut a length of hollow braid, depands on your
jig length and how long you want the diy assist
hooks. half the hollow braid and insert the
threader into one end of the hollow braid
as shown above image. |

Step 3 |
Thread the threader tool 1 cm before the
center of the hollow braid (That for the loop)
Peirce through about 1cm before the center
or the hollow braid. Attached the other end
of the hollow braid to the tip of the threader
tool. (The tip will hold the tag. |

Here is a close-up image showing the threader
tool tip pinching / holding the tag. |

Next pull the treader tool handle down wards
shown in image above. The tag will be in the
hollow braid where the loop will be form. |

Slowly pull the tag through the braid. |

Next you will see the tag coming out from
the hollow braid. Stop at the red line. Note:
Do Not Pull Too far Out otherwise you lost
the loop) Remove the tool from the tag. |

Stroke the hollow braid by removing lumps.
The loop is complete. Next attached the Mustad
Hoodlum hook. |

This is alos a personal choice. For this
demo half the length, shown above the red
line. |

At the center of the hollow braid make a
over hand knot. show above image. |

| Step 11 |
Thread the hook through the knot as shown
above. |

| Step 12 |
Next Tighten the knot first than thread
the loop through the hook eye as shown above.

| Step 13 |
Next Pull the Braid loop, the knot will
move up to the hook eye. With the tag tie
a half hitch as show above. |

Tighten the half hitch knot by pulling the
tag. |

| Step 15 |
Do another half hitch. |

| Step 16 |
Tighten the 2nd half hitch, Cut the tag
and apply super glue to the knot, let it dry
and it ready for fishing. |

Attached the loop to jig and ready to go
fishing. The knot is neat and strong. option
protect it with shrinkable sleeve. |
